Today we successfully concluded the project evaluation workshop for our impactful three-year partnership (2022-2025) between Namibia’s Biomass Industry Group (N-BiG) and Germany’s Bundesverband Bioenergie (BBE) and Sequa, supported by funding from BMZ. This strategic collaboration has delivered significant results, strengthening N-BiG’s capacity as a leading bioeconomy organization while advancing sustainable bush biomass utilization across Namibia. Through this partnership, we’ve created tangible business opportunities by connecting Namibian biomass stakeholders with international partners and investors, laying the groundwork for continued sector growth.
The closing sessions provided space for deep reflection on what has been achieved—both in terms of developing a sustainable biomass industry and building stronger networks within the bioeconomy. Discussions focused on:
• The impact of capacity-building and stakeholder engagement
• Progress in biomass utilization and commercialization
• Strategic paths for attracting investment and ensuring long-term sustainability
We extend our sincere appreciation to all partners, members, and stakeholders who shared their insights, time, and expertise throughout this evaluation process. Your contributions have been vital to the success of the project.
This workshop was more than a review—it was a launchpad for future collaboration and innovation in Namibia’s biomass sector.
